Food Decoration class

Elif Acil
is a professional cook who can cook almost the entire Turkish Cuisine. She has won the first place in many cooking contests some of which were shown in Turkish television channels. She has been called as “Number One Chef’ by her American friends, some of them are US. Senators.

Besides she participates in volunteer works such as organizing high quality bazaars for charities. She also held an exhibition compound of more than hundred pieces of Turkish handworks. In Turkey she gives private lessons about “Food Decoration Art”. In her food designs she uses vegetables and fruits to make some figures such as flowers, baskets, animals etc.

She is going to teach us her art here in Chicago in our cultural centre every Tuesday from 10am to 11am. After that if you have time you can stay for our potluck brunch from 11am to 12am and have some chance to get to know each other. Below there is the program she is going to hold. All you need is to bring couple of each items every week, your dish to share (if you can) and please do not forget to take your sharpest carving knife with you.
